June crime information

Hi All,

Here is the monthly crime break down for June.

Burglary

02/06/25 -Hospital Bridge Road – Occupants have returned from holiday to find that their home had been burgled. Entry was gained via a first floor rear window which had damaged caused to it. Jewellery and a camera were stolen.

19/06/25 – Waverley Avenue – Rear garage broken into, bicycle and tools stolen

23/06/25 – Hospital Bridge Road – Attempted – A male has been seen to approach the property and aim what is believed to be a mobile phone into an open front ground floor window. Suspect has made off after hearing dog barking.

22/06/25 – Jubilee Avenue – Car keys have been stolen from the front porch and the car has been stolen.

Crime prevention – Remember, an open window is an invitation to an opportunistic burglar. Do not leave windows open whilst not home, especially ones on the ground floor. If going on holiday can a neighbour or relative/family leave their car on the driveway so it appears someone is home? Timers on lights and tvs is also an excellent way to give the appearance that someone is home.

Theft of motor vehicle

12/06/25 – Hanworth Road – Honda motor bike stolen from an address. A suspect was arrested on the stolen bike in Buckinghamshire and the bike was recovered to the owner.

13/06/25 – Powder Mill Lane – Mercedes stolen. Suspects appear to lay some sort of cable into the car, tamper with the steering wheel and then make off in the car.

Crime prevention – Keep keyless fobs in a secure signal blocking pouch/box and away from the front of the house. Steering wheel locks and driveway bollards offer another level of security for your vehicle.

Theft from Motor vehicle

There were eight incidents of theft from motor vehicle in June. In five of those cases there was no damage caused to the vehicle so it is believed that they were left unlocked. Small change, electrical items and clothing taken. There was one incident where a VW badge was stolen which contains the parking warning equipment, this appears to be a recent trend in the area. A work van in the Premier Inn car park was targeted and damaged to steal tools. No tools were left in the vehicle however a work radio was stolen.

Crime prevention – ALWAYS double check your car is locked before going to bed. These thieves operate in the early hours of the morning and will attempt as many car door handles as they can on a street, it is easy pickings for them if they come across unlocked cars. Do not leave ANYTHING inside vehicles or visible. Thieves will damage vehicles to gain entry if they see things like small change, bags, coats.

Bicycle theft

20/06/25 – Whitton corner health care centre – A bicycle has had its lock cut and stolen from the location.
